This electric pump is ideal for paddleboards, inflatable boats, airbeds, inflatable tents, and other inflatable products with universal valves that also have a deflation function.
The Airbank D6 is a relatively affordable, high-pressure SUP pump. The pump has two inflating stages which reduce the inflation time considerably. The first stage is the high-volume stage to about 1 PSI and then the second stage takes over, which is the high-pressure stage, until the set pressure.
Many inflatable paddleboards should be inflated to about 15 PSI (but please check the recommended pressure of your board) but the D6 can work up to 20 PSI. It comes with a real-time pressure monitor and auto-shutoff once it reaches the set pressure. It’s pretty easy to set the required pressure and, because of the 2-stage fast inflation, it’s fast and within no time you can be on the water!
In terms of performance, the Airbank D6 takes less than 8 MINUTES from 0 to 15 psi (350 L/min), and 10 minutes from 0 to 18 psi (85 L/min), and it will stop automatically when the target pressure is achieved, which means you will not over-inflate your paddleboard or other inflatable gear, nor damage it.
The D6 features a 1.4’’ LED display that shows a digital gauge with pretty good accuracy, i.e. the reading error stands within ± 0.2 PSI, which is more accurate than the standard ± 1 PSI in the industry. You can set the display to show the pressure in PSI or bar, whatever you find easier!
The pump uses an integrated high-tech air compressor that works in tandem with a Teflon coated piston sealing and high-strength engineering plastic. In other words, the Airbank D6 will never let you down, as it’s built to last, and it allows you to pump up to five 15 PSI SUP paddleboards in a row. Just make sure you keep the engine of your car running during the inflation of your paddleboard(s) so that the car battery won’t be drained!
You also get a full set of 5 nozzles in the retail package, which means you’ll be able to pump virtually any model of paddle boat, kayak, pool, swimming ring, or whatever inflatable you own. Besides the extra nozzles, you also get an extra fuse and two rubber O-rings in case you need to replace the current ones.
The inflation hose is about 31 inches (80 cm) long and the coupling at the pump side can freely rotate making screwing the hose on and off a lot easier! Well thought off by Airbank! The 12V DC cable is fused and 69 inches (175 cm) long. To be fair, this cable is a bit short, especially in busy car parks or if you have a very high truck, and it would be nice to have the 12V cable be a few feet longer! The cool thing is that you can store the cable and hose inside the pump.
The Airbank D6 has two modes (inflate/deflate) and operates “hands-free”, whether it’s in inflation or deflation mode. Most SUP pumps can inflate but it’s very convenient that the Airbank WhaleShark can also deflate your paddleboard after a nice paddle! Getting all the air out of the inflatable paddle board is a must to pack it as small as possible and trying to do that by yourself is an enormous hassle and almost impossible. This pump will deflate the whole paddleboard and you will only have to roll it up and store it away! The pump has an auto-shutoff so you don’t have to worry about overheating or damaging your gear! To use the deflation mode, you just connect the hose to the other air outlet on the pump and plug in the 12V cable to start the pump.
Conclusion
With a very competitive retail price, the Airbank WhaleShark D6 is one of the most affordable electric pumps on the market, and given its comprehensive features, it’s definitely one of the best ones out there in terms of bang for the buck.
Moreover, the design of the D6 is pretty smart, as it comes with a storage compartment for the cable and the hose, and, needless to say, the pump underwent rigorous testing, as it comes with CE, FCC, and UKCA approvals. There is no point owning a portable piece of sports equipment unless you actually have a way of transporting it. Now that’s why the Gili Sports Air 10’6 is sold with a great looking bag included.
On the outside the oversized rucksack straps are large and padded, they are designed to be comfortable. Even though this is one of the lightest inflatable stand up paddleboards on the market, a bit of comfort while you carry your Gili will really make your day much more pleasurable.
Included in the repair kit you will find a couple of patches, a valve wrench, and a tube of adhesive. It is important to understand how it works as you can’t be sure youtube will connect whilst you are out adventuring!
Overall, we found the Gili Sports Air 10’6″ to be one of the best all-around boards we have come across for the price, it’s a full package which is perfect for any beginner wanting to have a go or for an intermediate rider looking for a spare board for friends or family. The colors are great and the package is awesome.
Having been around the sport for a long time it’s no question we would always prefer a hard-shelled kayak or inflatable SUP over its lesser sibling the inflatable kayak. This has always been largely due to the performance, and build quality. With many traditional inflatable kayaks only reaching on average just 0.5 psi they sag and bow and take the form of a lilo.
Bay sports have taken a drop-stitch core as found in just about every inflatable stand up paddleboard. Whereby the top and bottom PVC is linked by thousands of small strands this means you can use a much higher pressure to hold a better form and shape. The core can then be combined with an outer PVC and other reinforcing panels which create a super durable design.
The first thing to note is that this is still definitely an inflatable kayak. Weighing in at just under 20kg for a 2 person boat means that it can still be easily shipped and delivered in a carton directly to your door.
As with all inflatable kayaks, the lightweight nature makes them difficult to use in any kind of wind this is aided by the included skeg but still not ideal and best avoided.
The hull of the Air Glide is actually very flat. So, as a result, we noticed the boat was really easy to turn and maneuver. In a straight line, the V-shaped bow cut through the water easily and proficiently.

We know you’re probably super excited and feeling impatient. You’ve already conjured images of yourself gliding elegantly, the setting sun with its warmth on your face, glistening through the leaves that line the serene lake. Onlookers are admiring your poise and seemingly effortless paddling.
Sometimes even the most experienced lose their boards unexpectedly, leg ropes snap, or aren’t put on correctly. The more common reason why you may find yourself swimming is due to falling off. The leg rope (leash) on a paddleboard is surprisingly long. Even if you are attached, you may find yourself swimming a little way. If you aren’t a strong swimmer, you should consider wearing a lifejacket. Always be 
If you are starting out on SUP we’d strongly suggest you begin on flat water. If where you are paddling feeds out to the ocean, paddle as far away from the mouth (where it meets the ocean) as possible. With the change of incoming and outgoing tides, currents increase both ways. These currents are more amplified closer to the mouth of a river. Basically, if the tide is going out, you will be getting pulled out to the ocean and one of two things could happen. You may end up in the ocean…eek! Or you will be having an arduous paddle back. Vice versa, if you paddle down the river and want to come back on an incoming tide, you’ll be one tired paddler when you get back. The aim is to make the first few times as easy as possible. Where you can, you should control factors to make your first time an easier paddle. We want you to come away with seething satisfaction.
With room for up to two people, this inflatable kayak is great ridden solo or in pairs. The strong body and frame use Razorlite’s signature all drop stitch material that allows you to inflate the kayak up to 10 PSI. The strong material combines with the rigid bow and stern, thereby allowing the kayak to glide through the water surface effortlessly with much grace.

If you’re the type of person that always breaks something after the one-year warranty is over, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the warranty time on the Lynx. It’s 10 full years, if you don’t break the kayak over the span of 10 years, you can be pretty sure it will last you a lifetime.
If you live close to the ocean and are dying to get out there, Helios is the best thing you can buy. There are few, if any, kayaks that can beat the Innova Helios when it comes to paddling in open water like oceans.
A personal favorite, you don’t get any closer to a hard shell than this. You just have to love the AdvancedFrame technology, it makes the whole kayak act a lot more like a hard shell. The most significant difference is the tracking, boy does this track straight! This is not what you would call a true “inflatable”, it’s really a mix between a foldable kayak and an inflatable one.
Designed with only one thing in mind, fishing. Luckily you don’t have to be a fisherman to enjoy this inflatable kayak. Just like the Convertible from Advanced Elements, the Straitedge Angler has the same patented built-in aluminum frame. The first and most common reason is portability. If you want to own a kayak but live in a small apartment in New York, where are you going to store a 9 feet long hard shell kayak? Nowhere, it’s not possible unless you rent extra storage. Or what if you live far away from the water? Are you supposed to buy yourself a trailer just to get the boat to shore? This is where inflatables shine the most, an inflatable kayak can be 9 feet long but still fit under your bed or in your car’s trunk. Sit-on-top or sit-inside?
Technically not really a pontoon boat, but we decided to include them in the buyer’s guide because of their similarities. 
If you like the idea of a float tube but have never actually tried one, getting a cheaper one to try it out is smart. The Teton is an affordable float tube but the build quality is good for what you’re paying and it’s actually pretty durable. It has an inflatable backrest and a stripping apron with a ruler, we would however rather see bungee straps instead of the velcro patches for the apron.
Inflatable pontoons without any frame look a lot like dinghies, they behave pretty much the same way. The only real difference is the motor mount and the few added accessories that most frameless pontoons come with, swivel seats and rod holders are one of the most common accessories. These are easier and faster to set up compared to pontoons with frames, they also take up less space. They are versatile as you can both row them or use a motor.
Pontoons with frames are another hit among fishermen. Instead of a hardwood floor, they have pockets and bags to store all your fishing gear. They get you closer to the water than a frameless pontoon, not as much as a float tube but just enough so you can reach down and grab a fish from the water. Just like the floating tubes, framed pontoons give a more ‘personal’ feeling to your fishing. The most useful one in our opinion, is the integrated transport wheel, making transportation of your pontoon 10 times easier. When not used, the transportation wheel can be stowed under the seat. The gear bags still have 20 pockets, but they are now removable, meaning you can move them around as you like. The motor mount has gotten an upgrade, it can now be mounted in two different positions. There are two detachable fly patches instead of one.
This is as basic as an inflatable pontoon gets. The Roanoke is lightweight and nimble thanks to its basic design, there are no extra baskets or accessories, just the seat, oars, and frame. It’s 8 feet long, heavy-duty pontoons with temperature resistant (they will not shrink or expand in different temperatures) bladders inside. There’s a stripping apron underneath the seat, armrest pockets with zippers, a rear fabric storage platform, a molded plastic seat, and adjustable footrests. It’s not possible to mount a motor mount on the Roanoke, so rowing will be the only option for moving around.
We like to be comfortable when we fish, going to the ocean in a kayak or pontoon boat might work, but how comfortable is that? You will constantly have to fight against the waves and rowing is significantly harder than a lake.

The Mariner is a large inflatable raft. Made for the type of fisherman that likes to go fishing with a few friends. The mariner will take up to 3 people and plenty of fishing gear, the total amount of weight is 880 pounds. This is like a hybrid mix between a dinghy and a raft, the stability, and durability of a dinghy but the comfort of a raft. It has a plastic slat floor, an inflatable keel for improved handling and control, but most importantly, a strong and super durable hull. The hull is made with 3 different layers of separate materials, these 3 layers make for an extra-strong and durable hull. There are pouches for gear and a battery to power a trolling motor.
